Litter

Garbage: Trash: Waste: Scum: Slime. That is what YOU are if you leave any such items in our deserts! Cigarette butts, gum wrappers, and orange peels are litter, too!

  • Take it one step further by removing litter left by others. One warning, though: Don't pick up any object or touch any substance you don't recognize. People dump toxic and other dangerous wastes in the desert. Call local law enforcement to report any apparent toxic waste dump site you may come across.
  • When it's windy out, be sure you have control of all litter items.

Show respect for the land and it will support you and your activities in the grandest way!

In cooperation with the state parks and the BLM, this container was placed here and maintained by the "Leaping Lizard Tribe" rock climbing club.

Please help keep our deserts clean. They belong to all of us.
